Look to the heavens above
It is truly great
That is beauty
For us
Together
We’ll mark our names there
We’ll write in clouds
They’ll all know
We were
Happy
Thunder and lightning are quick
But forever isn’t immortal
Forever stops for
Lovers like
Us
Erase the sky’s blue color
Instead mark rain’s gray
Colors that faded
Remains in
Me
The master’s brush will repaint
The colors in the sky
Gray only lasts
Until hate
Subsides
Someday I’ll find the answers
But they aren’t in
The skies above
Or inside
You
