Freedom
Running through the frozen rain
Funning from the horrors that lay behind
She runs to find a better place
 Through the freezing rain

 Obstacles stand in the way
Pushing her far from her goal
 Closer to beginning than end
 Crying waiting to be caught,
 Taken back

To the place where suffering is defined
 Where hope is non-existent
 And no one escapes

 Until now
 She’s gone
 Yet so close to returning
 Lightning makes the sky ignite
 Only for a second
Long enough for her to see
The tunnel that will take her to freedom
