"A day without laughter is a day wasted" -Charlie Chaplin

My mind so full of thoughts
That I don’t know where to start
My heart so full of emotion
That I feel ready to burst
The pen is shaking in my hand
But I can’t seem to find the words
They swirl though my mind
Mocking my every blank moment

I know exactly what to write
But my mind and hand won’t communicate
The phrases flow from my breath
But all seem to just miss the paper
Words of happiness and sorrow
Dance down my arms and legs
Tingling sweet to the taste
But scalding hot to the touch

I cannot seem to focus on one topic alone
Flittering by from flower to flower
My inner sanctum of mind has been taken
And stolen away also is my soul
Stuck in my corner forever will I be
Where I can finally be alone
Back to my friends the pen and paper
This is where I can be most at home

I wrote this after weeks of not being able to think of a single thing to write.
