I never knew you,
I never experienced what you went through.
Yet today when I sing this song
It troubles me that someone can be full of so much hatred yet not know his own kind.
Hated, and wanted to kill all of you for being yourselves.
I cannot not say I am touched,
Because words could not prepare me for that.
But I think back into the past about times when I didn’t get something,
And hate myself because now I think of you.
And all of you…….
For I will never go through that.
So now, I will hide that pain in the very back of my heart
And let the world hear you for who you really are;
Not someone who is silenced,
But someone who can only tell about the life they once had.
And to remind us that life is so precious that they can only recapture bits and pieces in their deepest thoughts and dreams.

This is a dedication to "When I Am Silent" by Joan C. Varner; about a girl who was killed by Hitler. Very inspiring and I'm glad I could share this poem with you.
