Essential
Smooth clear tears streak down the window
They fall in a hushed pitter-patter
 Like little feet
 Little dancing feet
They move and glide like ice

One after the other they continue
 Suicide falls, on whitewash walls
 A breath on the earth,
 A cleansing ritual
 Life giving powers
 Base of life

Gray skies the color of ash
 Puddles form
 The floodwaters rise
 Water no longer is
 Sad
 Beautiful
 Poetic
 It is destructive
 Murderous
 Angry

 Why are they angry?
 The clouds were full
 They threw them down
 Tear drops on windows
 Helping
 Hurting

 There’s nothing left
 But puddles
 And death
 It was life giving
 It was beauty
 But it lost it all
