I’ve wrote of sunshine,
Of daydreams,
Feelings,
Hope,
And of love
What happens when the excitement fades?
And hope dims to a hardly present glow?
What happens when my brain speaks louder than my heart?
Telling me to turn around and forget, telling me what a fool I had been?
What was I thinking? I guess I wasn’t.
As I move on I think of you with fond memories,
Of smiles,
Laughter,
And friendship shared
