We waste away our precious time
We sit
We wait
We wonder why
What makes sense anymore?
You say
This is what I am
This is what I want to be
Everything you are not
I want to be
We laugh with friends
We sit and cry
Waiting
Wishing
I wonder why
Does life make sense anyway?
You say it does
You know me not
What I went through
You weren’t there
This is what I am today
From before
I waste away
