"Given the freedom to do what they please, people usually tend to imitate eachother."~[Eic Hoffer: The True Believer]

The soles of my shoes...
Warn out.
Shredded.
Gone.
Leaving only my feet...
To face the brutal pathways
Unguarded.
Alone...
By the flesh of my feet,
The bumps along the tar streets,
And the sticks tossed askew
Amongst the forests
That those with shoes don't even
Dare
To walk through...
Those obstacles
Through time
Mean nothing...
For after a while has passed...
Calluses
Triumph
Over the pain.
And my feet...
My oh so changed feet...
Are no longer
Petrified
To face this world alone.

Obviously not to be taken in the literal sense, I wear shoes. :P
