Lonely Valentine’s Day
Happy Valentine’s Day, baby.
 I would call today,
But I don’t have your number.
 I would bring you roses,
But I don’t know your address.
I would whisper, “I love you”
But I don’t know which ear to whisper it into.
 I would hug you,
But I don’t want my arms around the wrong girl.
 I would kiss you,
But I want to make sure it’s really you before I do.
I would tell you you’re beautiful,
But I don’t want to say that to anyone else’s girl.
I know you’re lonely, but honestly,
I am glad you are alone today.
 Because I am too……
And I’m sorry if it seems selfish,
But I don’t like the thought of anyone else’s arms around my girl.
So, thank you for pulling through another Valentine’s Day all alone.
 Don’t be sad,
Because I am waiting for you too!
 So even though you’re lonely,
Know that I am thinking about you.
And someday, I will be able to do all those things for you.
 I love you.
Thank you for being lonely this Valentine’s Day.
