"The warrior is not gauged by the force of his sword, but his ability to lay it down in peace."

We take our holiday
we leave behind dismay
get on the train it’s time to go
time to stop feeling so dang low

If I ever get back to the twentieth century
will I ever get back what’s left of my memory
so I can live to the fullest and see what’s left to see
and be what I always always wanted to be

let’s craft our perfect getaway
so we can just be old and in the way
we can have fun like we always used to do
have the fun we know we once knew

If I ever get back to the twentieth century
will I ever get back what’s left of my memory
so I can live to the fullest and see what’s left to see
and be what I always always wanted to be

I was borne to the idea of a perfect world
where a man enjoyed everything he heard
let’s go back and lock up all our worries
pack up your bags with no need to hurry

If I ever get back to the twentieth century
will I ever get back what’s left of my memory
so I can live to the fullest and see what’s left to see
and be what I always always wanted to be

After listening to "Holiday" by Green Day, "Hearts and Bones" by Paul Simon and "Cousins" by Vampire Weekend, I was inspired to write about why we can't just go into the world with splendor and without anger and depression.
