Silent expanses of dusk
Set in with the ash gray smoke-fog
Whispered silence, breath held
Trees spindly and gnarled, their roots uncovered
Faded letters on the headstones
All quiet for eternity’s slumber
Quick breath of air release of the pain
It rises to the sky and evaporates
A distant drum, march of footsteps
March of a heartbeat that can’t beat
Suns falls low over the fog which twinkles like a star
A gem that fades, color is lost
Sound is gone
No more breath
All is quiet
The final farewell
