Apparition
Through the dimly lit night,
Your hazy shadow simmers and becomes solid.
 A solid I can feel,
A solid I can wrap my arms around.
 You speak to me,
 “Will you be my Angel?”
 I close my eyes
And I finally remember how to smile.
 You are real.
 We are real,
 I am sure of it.
 My head spins.
 I cannot open my eyes.
 I can still feel you,
 Your body,
 Your heartbeat,
 I feel our bond…
 Break.
 My eyes fly open.
I awaken alone but with a vivid memory.
 A contradicting memory,
Of what was real and what was not.
My dream took me on a journey into the past.
A past that has been complicated
 By delusions,
By false namings of real events.
I remember what I want to remember.
