Die a Dominoe
Like a sea saw
I topple over
And fall slightly above the ground.
As if I was a lady bug…
Each birthday adds a dot.
My age is seen like Braille
I am like an old movie screen
Drawn slightly out of detail
Lacking effort,
Pure, yet black and white.
I never once lied.
My dots…
They’re nothing like a trick
You count them like
Numbers.
Try
Or
Play with me for fun?
It’s nice to see
I am wanted
I think its part
Of my heart,
The way I lose balance uncontrollably
And fight my neighbors a lot.
At least I always know
I’ll have someone’s back
To lean on.
But my days have come,
My movie appearance has faded,
Like the yellow color of my skin…
My dots have added themselves
Together
Last round of my game
End of my domino line;
My legs wobble over more,
I fall forward
There’s no one there to catch me
Nothing at all.
This time,
I go straight down
