I don’t deserve to live,
I don’t deserve to die.
I don’t want to go out there
Because I’m gonna cry.
I don’t deserve an enemy,
I don’t deserve a friend.
I don’t want any beginnings,
And I’ll hate it when it ends.

I don’t want to love,
I don’t desire to hate.
I don’t know why I’m here,
No one likes being late.
I don’t know if I’m fake
I don’t know if I’m real
I don’t know if I should stay awake
Or if I should fall asleep.

Maybe it isn’t what we thought it would be
Because maybe the world is on a rope instead of a string
They don’t talk because no one’s listening
We chew down the hand that feeds
And maybe what we want is what we need.

I don’t know why I should hide
I can’t listen to what I hear
I don’t know if I should escape
And I don’t know what to fear.
Maybe I should tell them
What I really love
It might be the end
But at least I’ll fly away on a dove
