Smartest thing I ever did was unload that gun,
Cause if i didnt, he woulda been done.
Smartest thing I ever did was tell her no and goodbye.
Another month of the pain and the lies, I swear I was gonna die.
Smartest thing I ever did was accept my Jesus.
Gonna stay true to Him even if no one belives us.
Smartest thing I ever did was tell my mother I loved her.
I know I aint the best I could give her,
But at least I know she's an easy forgiver.
