Dancers in the masquerade ball

Glittering

Flittering

Hiding

Behind the masks of silver and gold

Fairies

Peacocks

Shadows

Lengthen the walls as twilight falls

Laughing

Talking

Hesitating

When the chandelier begins to flicker

Whisper

Shiver

Gather

And look up

As the lights are extinguished... and the masks come off

All of the images are from Teen Ink, and it takes forever to find the best ones. ^_^

Very different from your other poems. Great job on tackling another approach ... really like this one.
