I am from mountains in the West
from the wind that blows non-stop
I am from long winding roads
I am from orange and pink sunsets

I am from children's laughter
from "the twins" and being the youngest
I am from Tonka trucks and swing-sets
I am from playing in cardboard boxes

I am from funny moments and happy days
from drawing books and good grades
I am from lazy days and staying up all night
I am from simple things in life

I am from random conversations
from days that you never forget
I am from "you had to be there" moments
I am from making memories

The author's comments:
This was an English II assignment I had to do, and I liked it. The poem had to be in the style of "Where I'm From" by George Ella Lyon. It's telling about where I'm from, what I did when I was little, how I am now.
