It could always be worse.....
Sometimes well at least to me
it appears High school is the only
 place i’ll ever be
 it seems I will never
 crawl my way out
 like nothing else matters
if i have no friends in a class and
 am a total looser
 then well life is over
 =(

then life rears its ugly head
in the form of half starved desperate
 war refugees
 who would do or give
anything to be in my position
 being shown on the news
as they huddle in refugee camps
 the pain, fear and anger
 the likes of which
I will never be able to comprehend

When I go visit a hospital
 and see emaciated
bodies of 6 year old cancer patients
huddled up against the folds of their hospital beds
 crying waterless tears
for they have nothing left in their bodies
and pain is all they feel now
 crying to their parents
 who would give anything
to see their children smile again
 to be normal
 instead they watch helpless
 they can’t move
 that child would give anything
to be where I am now
 healthy and happy

I guess when life gets me down
 and school has me depressed
I feel like such a total looser
I can look around and remember it could always be worse
