Everyday you want
something more.
You dream of finding
someone to be with.
I dream and I cry,
because though I'm devoted,
my thoughts are of you,
and you can't even see
how much I do
to shield and protect you,
to love and to nurture you.
I long and I worry;
my thoughts are of you.
I can't sleep
and I hunger,
so great is my love
for you, who is
someone that looks
beyond me, the one
who has loved you.

This one kind of bugs me, but, as with children, I love all of my poetry.
