The Porcelain Doll
You see that little
 porcelain doll
 way up high
 on that tall shelf?

 Her eyes are glassy
 as if to see
 the future
 that is such a mystery

 Her hair is perfect
 kept locked tight
 her lips are small
blood red against her pale face

 Many people
 stop to gaze
 upon this girl
 that looks so mysterious
 in that glass box

 There is a sign
 below the box
 "Please don't touch"
 she's precious to someone

And I hear a little girl
 tell her mother in truth
 that the dolly looks sad
 in that glass cage.
