I take you for granted
we miss and we lose like it’s nothing new
and we cry and we bite off far too much to chew
a horizon in sight, every step getting further
and further away from what’s me and what’s you

lemon drops in the sky, floating orbs of white light
icy grass on the ground and the moon is so bright
and you walk me back home with a glint in your eye
I may never have had such a wistful goodnight
