only here for the tomorrow
My ears tingle,
 Listening with all I have
To the sounds of an empty night sky

For there is nothing to hear
There is no music to dance through the mind
No laughter to lead to a smile

 Tonight is quiet
 Tormenting the heart,
 Whispers fill the mind
Empting the soul of unwanted feelings
But it is to no avail

Lost are the days free from
 Needless pain and open joy
Now it is left to the struggle
 Of past and future

Nothing to hold to the now
 Just floating forward
Gone are the moments of freedom

 Back to the broken hearts
 And the fallin word
We are lost in our present
 Only here for the tomorrow
