which ache
nonchalantly
for granting palm
which questions
unobtrusively
the teachings of the world

the stitching

pink hands
carved from fists
unravel to receive the sun's blessing
exposing
the delicate
blue threads
which feed them
snaking
to the
gushing
throbbing
salivating
purpled fruit

since cast from the tree
has defied its purpose
