an introduction
can be more than it seems.
more than a name
and a subtle greeting.
it can be a new start,
a new beginning,
to something so beautiful,
it cannot last forever.
a shooting star,
and 11:11.
a moment so hopeful,
reality must end it.
something that lasted
for one fleeting second
that was enough for the moment,
but not for forever.

The author's comments:
while on vacation...i met the perfect guy..but we live too far apart for anything to work out..what happened with him inspired me to write this because the day we spent together meant more to me than anything, and the way he made me feel, was beyond anything i could ever have imagined. but it can't last forever, because it's too good to be true. and in the words of robert frost, "nothing gold can stay"
