in a box
A miracle,
 A fabulous miracle
 has shown above my eyes
 and beneath
 My flippin' toes.
My toes are so numb but
 I feel you and your
 goodness
 Way above my forehead.
 You take your time
 and blow in my eyes,
 dear God,
please take me near to this city
 to see beauty
as I might fall in shame
 from pity.
 Your face is ugly,
a beauty I'd like to touch
 like a dream when
 there was no yesterday, forever.
 Yesterday happened tomorrow
 until it's a real thing,
 a real real thing,
 really.
 My mind is more subtle
 than it seems,
 sweet, sweet baby dreams
 evolve around my tighs.
 Teacher told,
 smoking roads hold my soul
 in a box
 empty in the cold.
 Love,
 Ali
