Words on a pavement-black keyboard,
Not noticing what she’s typing,
But she’s sure it’s some
Senseless chatter about her day
Being great and fine
When she knows it’s a lie
Because her eyes are rimmed
In an apple red,
Staining her pale porcelain skin.

candice- i think it means her eyes are red from crying- when you cry your eyes get puffy and red
