Winter, spring, summer, fall
These are the seasons and I know them all
But winter is the best because
This is the preparation for new life
The weather gets colder and things die
But snow falls gently from the sky,
Preparing for new days
The white cloak glistens bright
Outside in the light
Waiting to greet the new youth
It’s a new beginning
Time for change
That is winter’s gift to us.
