Will my friend be okay
Will I see him again
Afraid to sit still and dwell
Upon what has come
You pace
Wandering in the forest
At twilight
You look at the trees
Watch the stars through the sparse
Room in the leaves
To find anything
To distract you from
What you must confront
Jogging through the park
You concentrate on
Your step
1-2-3 1-2-3
Slowly counting each
Agonizing second
Always avoiding the
Facts you must face
Distracting yourself to
Not think of what might come
Give up the fight
You know you must
Dance with the music
Someday
