Adolescence
Sigh
 Another day come and gone
 Where does the time go?
Peering out at the first signs of day
 My morning starts
 Looking at the mirror
 I realize something:
My youth has flown by me
Though I’m still dwelling in these years
 The agelessness is long gone
I will be innocent no more
I’ve done nothing spectacular in this stage
 Nothing to cause alarm
 I’m not extraordinary
 Over these years though,
 My faith has not wavered
 The faith in myself
 Strong and independent am I
 My personality shows no weakness
No doubt will I stand my ground
When the time comes to fight for what I believe in
 For I am me
And there is nothing you can do about it
