When you're gone on your travels
I will wait for your return
While recalling our fond memories
For which I'll sing to thee

When my ears are hungry for your voice
I will wait for you to speak
While recalling your laugh, your words
For which I'll sing to thee

When my heart is lonely for your love
I will wait for you to come
While recalling your "I love you"'s
For which I'll sing to thee

But when you're gone to Heaven
For which I'll sing to thee,
I'll be here all alone
With no one to sing to me
