You say you can read me and know what I’m thinking
So read me right now, my heart’s pounding, I’m sinking
I’m confused, I’m so lost
There’s too much on my mind
I’m in a maze of despair
And the end’s hard to find
There’s the pressure of home life and friends on the side
I’m so stressed, scared, alone
That it’s so hard to hide
Don’t believe me? Just wait,
I’m sure you’ll notice in time
My light has gone dim
It no longer will shine
So I sit here and think
You can read my blank pages?
Then please read out loud
My mind’s concealed in steel cages
