This Facade

On the outside I seem
Calm
Collected
Carefree
Content.
That happy-go-lucky girl
Who marches on
Unscathed,
Fearless and strong-
The one who survives
beating after beating
with a smile on her face
But really,
I’m terrified
Distraught
Self-conscience
Instead of the confident
That everyone seems to see
And I don’t know why
Or what to do.
