Leaves in December
He left me,
 like the leaves in December,
alone; to find my own way,
back down to the lonesome ground,
 just let me go,
to save himself from this cold, harsh winter
 leaving me there,
 dead on the fading grass.
 I drifted away,
no connection to this thing i used to be a part of,
 no way to survive,
 but, i've learned that
a leaf must learn to die without her tree.
