I’m scared of the dark
For I see no light
I cry, cry, cry
My pillow I hold tight..

So many people
Ask why I’m so sad
I tell them to go away
They are very glad

No one here’s me
Nor my precious word
So quiet, and shy
I’m the absurd

But then the light
Guides my every way
To tell me my fate
And what I say

To be so close
To someone so dear
My future is decided
My future is clear

But here I stand
With all my skin and bone
Here I stand
All myself…..
