my eulogy MAG
i told myself,
you are not going to be
 a poet
 poets are sad and lonely
 and they die too
 young
 we learned about poets
 in school
 kenyon
 dickinson
 parker
and i said, you don't want
 to end up like them
 but the words kept coming
 they filled my head with
 their noise
 so i wrote them down
so that i would not forget
and what i saw when i
 was finished
 was my epitaph
 my death sentence
