The wind is harsh and strong
as it shoves a thousand souls
toward tall wrought iron gates
Were not the gates of heaven gold?

A shout, then a scream invade
the silence that is draped over
the spikes of the cold iron gates
Were not the gates of heaven gold?

The gates open with a deadly grace
Inside a raging fire reflects its light on the wrought iron gates
Were not the gates of heaven gold?

Then the smoke that veiled the air
moved with the no warm wind
and what lay beyond was revealed
Yes the gates of heaven were gold

And the gates of hell were wrought iron.
