- What Matters
Beautiful yet easily to fall as if rain.
Never revealing the completely true pain.
Lips as gentle as the blanket hiding away your fears.
Should it be me who’s there to wipe away your tears?
Eyes as understanding as the twilight zone.
To me all you are is prone.
My pink and green bracelets resemble our innocent love.
Everything at that time was more than enough.
Heart as humble as a newborn.
Nothing being replaced, nothing being torn.
Anything unless named “heaven” has an ending.
Faces fading, feelings departing.
Your eyes tell me a story.
You’re scared as if things could turn gory.
Your thoughts spill like milk upon the floor.
My hearts exploding to the core.
Understanding eyes feel your pain conjoined with mine.
Are things really seriously falling out of line?
You’ll always be my first love, my angel from my heaven above.
My best friend, my hero.
Whether you realize it or not.
I’ll never forget it and I’ll always know.
You tell me “Rey, you’re my angel, you kept me myself”
These truths I shall keep upon my metaphorical shelf.
Not much deserves that spot. Knowing you’re there should mean to you a lot.
You are the reason I am strong.
You are the reason I feel I am where I belong.
I hold no grudges, regrets, or hates towards you.
I will continue to turn to you when the feeling of blue becomes yet anew.
Midnight strikes, you’ll be with her.
I’ll be with him, as a new sweeps away my hair.
Although always here for you, and you there for me.
Moving on seems to be the key.
Do not cry for me any longer.
Your touch continues to make me weak yet your smile endlessly stronger.
The future is a beautiful mystery.
Is our love yet only history?
Whatever it be.
I’d like you to see.
That when my thoughts crawl slowly to your face.
Sadness…….is not the case.
I’ll forever be your angel.
You may always count on me.
And when you feel like you’re drifting like an iceberg from the cold.
Remember me and remember what you told.
“Rey, you’re my angel, you kept me myself”
I’ll be here, floating on my cloud.
Singing my love song, oh but clearly out loud.
