sure darling go ahead and try

daddy daddy can i be a model
sure hunny now take your bottle

mommy mommy can i be a star
sure sweet heart you will go far

daddy daddy can i be a police man
sure kiddo i'll be your biggest fan

mom mom can i have a phone?
when you have grown

dad dad can i drive the car?
no no no you got a better chance to fall into tar

mom mom i want to date a boy
no darling he'll treat you like a toy

my point is that when we are younger our parents tell us we can do close to impossible things. then when we are older and asked to do things that are very possible they say no.
