Favorite Quote:
What's on the surface isn't always what it seems to be.

They follow paths of precious metals
Away from greed and apathy
When it is all you can think of

The former will arbitrate the following
Whether you continue on the metals
Or divert to the dirt

Here well-wishers recollect tales of what was
Choking on sobs, hugging knees close
Half smiles gleam a dull shine

Leaping from person to person
Hunting for another victim
Enjoying more tears

Words engraved in dark granite
Everyone remembers your dates
And blood red roses smother your grave

Was originally written for my friend who wanted a poem about death.
