Now when the politicians say the economy is bad
It is pretty obvious
In fact it makes me mad
Because they’ve been so oblivious

Hidden away in their jail of power and greed
They have forgotten everything we need
For does anything matter at all
When you can give away the world, a trillion dollars, or even a gumball?

But then stop to think and see
The silliness of it all
For I do not believe
The U.S. has a trillion dollars at all

To where the money was thrown away
Nobody really knows
It was probably eaten away
By those who can’t see past their belly’s to their toes

Now they are printing money
As if is were a hobby
Because they don’t have the guts
To let the companies go bankrupt

They always say money is everything
Because you either have it or you don’t
But money means nothing
You’ll either believe me or you won’t

I know its pretty useless to reply, because you know what I think, but this is one of my favorite pieces and I needed to hold up my end of the bargain. You are an amazing writer.

This piece reminds me of my favorite quote, "there is always enough in this world for needs, but not enough for eveyone's greed." The writer excapes my name; anywho, this poem hit home for me. (: Great write.
