A Temporary Madness
The child got left behind
 It was the wrong era
 The wrong time
 The child got left behind
 And he knew it too
When he stared out the window
 He would see the neighborhood
 As the kids would play
 And the teens would laugh
 While the adults would party
 As the child grew
 He got left behind
 And he knew it too
 But he didn't complain
 For it was temporary
And that's what the madness was
 It was all temporary
