I think I've met you,
somewhere,
but I don't know
really
who you are.
You seem farmiliar,
but
different somehow.
You used to be
smaller, ignorant,
innocent,
now something
more:
taller, more mature
confused.

The author's comments:
Sometimes it's hard to figure out just who you are. I've seen how my friends have changed over the years, and how I've grown from a little kid climbing trees and digging in the dirt to a teenager who's insecurities feel like the wieght of the world. Struggling through 6th grade taught me a lot, and hearing what my peers talk and laugh about during homeroom get me thinking about who I am and who I want to be. A country song once told me that "life's a dance, you learn as you go." All I can say is, bring it on.
