By the day of light
And the light of day
I can see my life fading away
For happy times are leavening now
And sadder ones are moving in
For no love has been found
And loneness is all around
I wish you could be mine
I wish I could be yours
With forever in the lead
And with all the sadness in the past
But it seems you are the past now
And now someone new will become the present
But I don’t want a new present
For I want you
And everything the comes with you
Cause you’re the only one who sees
Me for me
And I see you for you when no one else can
