The Looking Glass

Alice come, this will not last,
Shed the awful looking glass.
It's lost its beauty along the way,
No more is it for games and play.
You begin to use it for evil, to judge,
Your opinions were fixed, they would not budge.
I know you're only a human girl,
But this will only due in your fantasy world.
The glass is alive and molding to you,
A new set of eyes, a different view.
For all eternity you must see,
All the wrongs in people, all the wrongs in me.
Please Alice, this will not last,
Shed the awful looking glass.

The author's comments:
Inspired party by Augustana's song "Not Alone" and partly by the one and only, "Alice in Wonderland."
