The greatest pain that comes from love is loving someone you can never have.”

I danced in the rain
Cool drops of water falling on my skin
Not a worry in the world
I was young
I was naïve
The crisp chill biting my cheeks
I was happy
My smile blinding
My soul soaring

That was when I was small
Just like any other little girl
My world was focused on fun
Now all I can focus on is you
The sparkle in your eyes
Is the light that guides my life
The warmth in your smile
Keeps me from falling into the cold darkness

I wouldn’t know what to do if you left
I would be nothing without you
A vacant shell
No emotions but misery
You bring meaning to my life
And you bring life to my soul
I fear for the icy burn of heart break

When we touch I feel the energy
When I look into your eyes I see love
You give me a look
The one I adore
The one that can make me smile
even when I’m down
for now my life is perfect
for now I feel safe
I belong here next to you
nothing ruining my euphoria
the hot sting of tears
has not struck my face
and with you
it never will
