There's a part of me
That keeps trying to get free
But it's stuck
Inside my hateful self

I try to let it show
And I try to let it grow
But everyone likes
the hateful side of me

Why can't anyone see
That this isn't the real me
That my real self is stuck
Under the hateful side of me

I'm torn
Under this skin
Stuck
In the hateful side of me

In this fight
Against good and evil
I hope good will win
And the hateful side of me will leave

But the good needs my help
It needs my strength
If it is going to complete
Destroying the hateful side of me
