Never Let Go

It was quite, but only she made a sound
The sound of a girl crying as sorrow swept down her face
The sound no one with a heart would want to hear
As she sat there clutching the letter close to her heart
She thought to herself, "This didn't happen, it never happened"
Even though it happened 10 years ago she never believed it
Maybe she never wanted to
But she never let go
