False Security
I cannot fight
 with weakened fists
 I cannot see
 with sheltered eyes
I cannot hide like a child
From the corrupt deceit and lies

 I cannot choose
 with tainted morals
 I cannot feel
 with a hollow heart
 I cannot pretend my imagination
 hasn't carried me thus far

 I cannot breathe
 with these crushed lungs
 I cannot hope
 with shattered dreams
 And I cannot believe
that beyond these blurring battle lines

 the lone enemy is me
