...understand that the heart is as vast and wide as the universe, but that we come to know love best from here, this place of gravity and stability, where our feet can still touch ground.

When the world’s messed up,
And my day gets worse,
Where is my shoulder to cry on?

When I’m faced with bullies,
And my things are destroyed,
Where is my shoulder to cry on?

When I’ve received a bad grade,
Or lost a competition,
Where is my shoulder to cry on?

When I’m faced with unfairness,
Prejudices and sexism,
Where is my shoulder to cry on?

When I have no where,
No one to go to,
Where is my shoulder to cry on?

When I am alone, lost,
And don’t know where to go,
Where is my shoulder to cry on?

When I have no sanctuary,
No salvation, no saving angel,
Where will I cry?
Where is my refuge?
Where is my shoulder to cry on?
