I want to ease your pain
And heal your wounds
I want to erase the scars
That “the b****”
As you so spitefully call her
Left behind
I want to take your stained canvas
And turn the dark splotches into
Something beautiful
Maybe butterflies
Appropriate
Because that’s what you give me
I want mend your broken trust
And restore your faith
In humanity
To show you that not all
Women will
Hurt you that way
At least I won’t
Not ever
